CKMN May Meeting Recap: Kincaid Equipment Tour

The May CKMN meeting was hosted at Kincaid Equipment in Haven, Kansas, offering attendees an in-depth look at the company’s operations, history, and advanced agricultural technology.

The event kicked off with Kimberley Kincaid, President of Kincaid Equipment, who shared the company’s rich history and deep family roots. With decades of legacy and leadership in agricultural machinery, Kincaid Equipment has continued to innovate while staying grounded in its family-owned values.

Kimberley then introduced Colton Biehler, a member of the sales team, who provided an overview of the seed combine sales process. Colton highlighted the unique technology built into Kincaid’s seed combines, emphasizing how these machines are designed to support precision and efficiency in seed research. He explained how the integration of advanced systems maximizes performance and meets the evolving needs of their customer base.

Shad Mallady presented the seed planter sales process. He detailed how Kincaid’s planters and drills are engineered to optimize row spacing and accommodate the logistics of transport critical consideration for mobile seed research operations. Shad underscored the company's commitment to innovation in both function and form.

After a break for lunch and networking, the group of approximately 20 attendees embarked on a guided tour of the facility. The tour began with the seed combine equipment area and continued through the maintenance bays, paint shop, and new inventory section. Throughout the tour, Kincaid staff discussed the real-world challenges they face—from tariff impacts and supply chain issues to custom design projects—as well as the successes they’ve had in adapting and evolving their product offerings.
